Weathered Waxing guarantees restoration of your item's water-resistance. If you notice water permeation within the first three months after completion of service, we will, free of charge, waterproof any areas that are identified and confirmed to be “wetting out” via the test found on our FAQ. This policy is based upon inadequate or incomplete service on the part of Weathered Waxing and does not cover excessive wear and tear (examples include, but are not limited to, full-time construction or farm work, long-term hunting, backpacking, or bushcraft, or natural disasters and catastrophic events), water permeation due to item defects, condition, or construction, items where cleaning has been waived, or alteration or improper treatment of item post-service. If we are not able to restore an item's water-resistance, we will refund you the cost of service.
The "Wax the Wardrobe" discount is not transferable and only applicable to items from same owner in the same order and cannot be combined with other discounts.
Pants or items that may be saturated in, or regularly come into contact with, hazardous materials, bodily fluids, or mold/mildew must either be cleaned and sanitary prior to shipping or include a Deep Clean Service in the same order. Important: You must Contact Us before mailing items that were potentially saturated in hazardous materials; per USPS Publication 52, we will not be able to ship your item back to you until it is clean. A Deep Clean Service will be automatically added to any items sent to Weathered Waxing that do not meet the aforementioned criteria.
Weathered Waxing is unable to guarantee or predict prices for shipping, taxes, duties or other variable costs.
Customer agrees to forward tracking information and list of items being sent via email to Weathered Waxing within 24 hours of acquiring shipping label; failure to do so will void Weathered Waxing of any responsibility for theft or loss of items upon delivery by mail carrier. Weathered Waxing is not responsible for shipping delays, item damage, or package loss by mail carriers or other parties.
Upon confirmation of delivery by mail carrier, Weathered Waxing is only responsible for items designated on item list whose services have been paid for.
Return Shipping Invoice must be paid within 30 days of being provided to customer unless other timeline is agreed upon.
For Pickup orders, failure to collect item after 90 days will result in item being donated.
Lead time listed on website is approximate and does not apply to orders that include custom work. Egregious delays that are the fault of Weathered Waxing will be remedied on a case-by-case basis. Egregious delays do not include delays due to unanticipated or undisclosed issues with items.
Customer may request early return of their items at any time. Refund amount will be prorated based upon work already completed.
Customer agrees that items may be featured on social media, website, or other medium.
Any reimbursement for damages will only be negotiated upon item's original MSRP; or, if item is no longer available, the MSRP of the closest currently available equivalent.
Customer acknowledges that cleaning, waxing, and curing will typically change shade/color, smell, finish, feel, and other aspects, of an item, both outside and possibly inside. These are normal changes and will not be grounds for refund or discount.
Customer may waive cleaning of items in writing and acknowledges that the degree to which effective waterproofing can be achieved may be reduced.
Weathered Waxing reserves the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to risk of damage to item or negative effect on item's historical significance, value, or individual provenance.
